The Green Building Retrofitting Group has planned the first steps to reach their goal of retrofitting all 130,000 buildings in the City of Cleveland by 2019. The group started a timeline to reach the goal, with a planned finish date of August, 2010 or before the 2010 Sustainability Summit. Two subgroups were formed to develop the timeline:
- 'Goals, metrics, tracking and measuring success,' headed by Chuck Ackerman, and
- ’Creating a comprehensive implementation model (including workforce connection),’ headed by Marc McDermott.
Andrew Watterson will be attending the next Green Building Retrofitting meeting, this Thursday, Feb. 11 at 3500 Lorain Ave, at 6 p.m., to discuss the city of Cleveland's Energy Efficiency Community Block Grant ”Retrofit Ramp-up” program, and to gain his input on the timeline.
