Natural History Museum to host Building with nature symposium

10/18/12

The Cleveland Museum of Natural History will present a free public symposium focusing on green building. The symposium will examine the latest concepts in architecture for the integration of buildings and nature. "Building with Nature: A Symposium to Explore the Frontiers of Green Building, Biomimicry and Architecture" will be held Thursday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Museum, located at 1 Wade Oval Drive, University Circle, Cleveland.

Following the success of the Museum's PNC SmartHome exhibit in 2011, the symposium is intended to stimulate ideas about the potential for new kinds of buildings in Northeast Ohio—radically better buildings that respond to human needs while restoring the Earth's natural systems.
