To make this online community work best, we offer the following guidelines for posting content:
- Use your real name — We need to trust each other, so don't hide behind a fake screen name. If you can't say something openly and honestly, then maybe you shouldn't say it.
- Respect people's time — We're all busy, so be brief and to the point. Don't overwhelm the site with your every thought. Think about how to be of service to the regional discussion.
- Help move issues forward — The region needs a lot of help, so we are looking for constructive ideas and information that will keep us focused on the future. Critical thought is encouraged, but no whining.
- Stay at the table — Don't get discouraged if your comments aren't immediately accepted. We need everyone's voice, so stay at the table. Sometimes it's okay to agree to disagree.
- No partisan politics — This site is maintained by a nonprofit organization, so it can't support political candidates. Please focus on issues.
- Be good — This is a site for civil discussion. Needless to say, you shouldn't engage in personal attacks or post anything libelous, sexist, racist, pornographic, or otherwise offensive or harmful.
- Limit outright promotion — Help us keep plugs for products and personal promotion off the site.
- Have fun! — We will all get farther if we approach problems with good spirits and open hearts.
The editors will do everything possible to moderate this site and enforce the above guidelines. Please notify us if you see anything objectionable. The staff has the right to edit content, delete postings, or revoke member privileges. However, we are not responsible for content posted by others.
Also please be aware that all content contributed to this site is covered under a Creative Commons license, which allows people to use content with certain restrictions.
