Innerbelt delayed, bike/ped path still prudent

The big announcement this week that the Innerbelt Project will be delayed for two years has overshadowed ODOT’s deadline for the comment period on the design of the Innerbelt bridge, which is Friday, October 20— including comments on the proposed bike/pedestrian path.

We look into the cause for the two-year delay and help frame arguments for a better-designed bridge, one that accommodates the 25 percent of Cleveland households without cars and offers a path for millions of tourists from the Towpath Trail extension to the city. Link.
