  • Cleveland Police officers are a step closer to patrolling the streets on bikes. A group of officers have been trained and have bicycles, but are still in need of helmets, lights, shorts, shoes, and bags, ClevelandBikes reports. To get involved or to contribute fundraising ideas that will get patrolmen on bikes, contact lois@walkroll.com.
  • Become a fruit detective! Cleveland Fruit Share is a new effort to scope out places where fruit is going to waste because no one is picking it and matches up sites with harvesters. A Near West side fruit tour is currently in the works. For more information or to connect with harvesters, go here.
  • As part of the ongoing beautification of downtown Cleveland and Euclid Avenue, Cleveland Public Art and the Downtown Cleveland Alliance commissioned Cleveland Institute of Art graduate Mark Reigelman to design decorative planters that will enhance the streetscape of the lower Euclid Avenue district.
