Part of the Cleveland's strategy to reshape itself as a green city on a blue lake includes new greenways and recreational bike paths. With $49 million committed to a Towpath Trail extension into the Flats, trail building is finally arriving (see Treadway Creek last year, the first connector trail into a neighborhood). Plans for more Towpath connections-some that have been bubbling below the surface for decades-are now coming to light.
The Train Avenue Greenway, which was approved last week, is a prime example of Cleveland morphing into a more sustainable city without erasing its urban, industrial roots. Read more.
