Emerald Tapestry and Advanced Energy Generation January meeting summaries

The 2019 Vacant Land regeneration group aka "Emerald Tapestry" met at the Coffee House on Bellflower on Jan. 20, 2010 to discuss its role in the city's ReImagine a More Sustainable Cleveland project. The group will participate in Cleveland City Planning Department's eight subcommittees that will determine the best projects for the city to pursue to reuse vacant land. Read more.

The 2019 Advanced Energy Generation group also met on Jan. 20, at the offices of KA Architects. Mark Divis at Cleveland Thermal provided an update on the proposed 400 megawatt co-generation power plant in Cleveland's industrial valley that would partner with Arcelor-Mittal and Alcoa. The three are jointly drafting a letter for the mayor and Councilman Sweeney to sign to pursue $8 million for a feasibility study. Read more.

The Advanced Energy Group is hosting a multi-group meeting and has invited the Energy Research and Commercialization, Waste to Power, Transportation and Green Building groups to discuss energy-related topics and tour NASA on Jan. 26. To attend, contact Linda Sekura.)
