Time to celebrate Cleveland's latest bike lane

As advocates, it’s important to not lose site of the important moment when, in the case of encouraging more biking, the city and its officials who stake out a leadership position finally start making progress in their investment to dedicated, on-road facilities like bike lanes.

Remember to stop and celebrate success—it can feel hard earned. And that’s why GreenCityBlueLake and Bike Cleveland teamed up with GC Creative Studio to produce this “Thanks, Cleveland” video of the Detroit Avenue bike lanes which are being installed now.

GCBL is proud of its work building capacity. Bike Cleveland is doing a phenomenal job pursuing progress. Cleveland really deserves credit for evolving its thinking on bikes being an integral part of a sustainable mobility initiative.

The best way to thank the city is to start talking about Cleveland’s bikeway plan, and to start riding bike lanes like on Detroit Avenue when they are installed. Enjoy!
