"Greening Your Home" is a workshop series for homeowners by local green building guru Jim LaRue. It's presented by the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes and Environmental Health Watch.
On seven consecutive Thursday evenings from Jan. 10 through Feb. 21, 2008, homeowners can learn how to save money, water, energy and more. All sessions are 7-9 p.m. at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes.
Session topics include:
- site and foundation
- exterior walls and surfaces
- daylighting and greening roofs
- heating and cooling
- ventilation and interior surfaces
- electrical service and water usage
- residential maintenance
