The Home Builders Association of Greater Cleveland and the North Coast Building Industry Association have unveiled a voluntary residential green building program to increase energy efficiency and indoor air quality of new homes.
The guidelines — based on a model developed by the National Association of Homebuilders — includes a checklist of strategies to minimize solar heat gain, maximize natural light and ventilation to ensure efficient heating and cooling.
