Park Service seeking opinions

U.S. Deputy Secretary of the Interior Lynn Scarlett will attend a listening session, gathering public comments on President Bush's National Park Centennial Initiative. The proposal is to provide up to $3 billion in new public and private investment in the National Park Service by its 100th anniversary in 2016.

Participants are asked to imagine future generations enjoying the national parks and answer three questions: What are your hopes and expectations? What role do you think national parks should play in the lives of Americans and visitors from around the world? And what are the signature projects and programs that you think should be highlighted for completion over the next 10 years?
