Exterior Painting for Your Older Home Homeowner Workshop

Exterior Painting for Your Older Home Homeowner Workshop

Do you own a house that is over 50 years old?  Join us for a free, illustrated presentation where you'll learn about proper paint surface preparation whether you do it yourself or hire someone else to do it.  You'll learn to identify, treat and hopefully even avoid some problems that are sometimes encountered in painting older homes.  You'll also get helpful tips about choosing a painting contractor.  The program will also address the pitfalls of manufactured replacement siding (vinyl, aluminum, etc.), how to remove it and what to expect underneath and how to repair it.   You will also get tips on selecting a color scheme appropriate to the architectural style of your house.  You'll learn how a few simple enhancements can add to the curb appeal, authenticity and value of your older home.  Bring a photo of your house for one-on-one advice after the program.

There are three upcoming opportunities to hear this workshop, which is free and open to the public.
