Solar Electric Basics Workshop SeriesApril 8, 15, 22, 29June 3, 10, 17, 24Cuyahoga Community College - Corporate College East4400 Richmond Road, Warrensville Heights, OhioDo the newly emerging opportunities in the green energy economy have you wondering about entering this field?  If so, then take advantage of the entry level solar electric workshop series brought to you by Green Energy Ohio and the Green Academy and Center for Sustainability at Cuyahoga Community College.  Featured trainer for the workshop series is Mariner Energy System's NABCEP / NJATC certified solar installer and IBEW certified electrician, Carl Scheutzow.

DESCRIPTION:

The workshop series will focus on the design and installation of solar electric technology systems, targeting electricians, contractors, related trades and union members, facility managers, renewable energy installers, and anyone interested in learning how to install and use solar electric technologies. The first session will cover the basics of solar electric technologies, solar resource fundamentals, applications and system components.  The second session will include resources on grants, incentives, loans and business opportunities in the clean energy field.  The third session will provide an overview of the codes and standards associated with these technologies.  Hands-on demonstration of a solar electric system at Tri-C will be a key aspect of the final session.
