Meet The Champions Breakfast

Come meet the new Lab Champions:

·Michael Dungan, BeeDance awarded $30,000

·Stefanie Spear, Expedite Renewable Energy awarded $30,000

BeeDance is an online experience that identifies, diverts and connects products and materials that are misclassified as waste to audiences who value these items. The design and functionality of the BeeDance model of beneficial reuse is inspired by the behaviors and characteristics of nature's most efficient organism, the honeybee. BeeDance uses current and emerging technologies to encourage new material flow connections in the economy that will lead to a redesign of the waste stream.

Expedite Renewable Energy (ERE) encourages businesses to generate their own power by investing in renewable energy and becoming more energy efficient. Expedite Renewable Energy's first project is the Pearl Road Wind Project, Cleveland's first business that will install a wind turbine (120 kilowatts) to potentially generate 100 percent of their annual electricity needs. Through this project, a model will be created that will help other businesses streamline the process of investing in wind technologies to offset energy costs.

This breakfast is FREE, but you MUST REGISTER.Send an email with "Register for Breakfast" in the subject line toinfo@civicinnovationlab.org and include your name and company.
