NEO Green Building - Green School Revolution

Northeast Ohio Chapter of the USGBC proudly presents this session which reveals the story behind the Ohio School Facilities Commission's decision to require every school in every district to attain a minimum of LEED Silver - making it the largest green school program in the country.

The case study of the Cincinnati Public School District will be highlighted to address the perceptual barriers of cost, develop the methodologies for creating political will, connect the districts with the community, find funding, curricular partners and creating a structure for implementation of your program.

Beachwood High School's Ultimate Green Classroom will also be featured and available for touring.

Presenters: Robert Knight (Cincinnati Public Schools / GBBN Architects) and Alan Warner (GBBN Architects / Cincinnati Regional Chapter Chair), Greg Perry (Beachwood H.S.)  No cost to attend this event. Advance registration required.
