Former Shell CEO John Hofmeister at Oberlin

John Hofmeister's presentation will touch on a wide range of topics, from the inequity of high energy prices and the burden this places on low-income people, to the controversies surrounding fossil fuel exploration and nuclear energy, to the opportunities provided by technology to resolve conflicts between economic development, environmental protection, and social equity. He is the current CEO of Citizens for Affordable Energy and former CEO of Shell Oil in the U.S. John Hofmeister's presentation will touch on a wide range of topics, from the inequity of high energy prices and the burden this places on low-income people, to the controversies surrounding fossil fuel exploration and nuclear energy, to the opportunities provided by technology to resolve conflicts between economic development, environmental protection, and social equity.
