Crooked River Gaming: Weaving the New Casino into Cleveland's Existing Urban Fabric

Cleveland Coalition is a civic organization of Clevelanders working to create and sustain a more vibrant, healthy and connected community by building civic imagination, community participation and leadership capacity. Our events allow citizens to participate in policy discussions and empower citizens to take action through our events. The first event is a three part series called Crooked River Gaming: Weaving the New Casino into Cleveland's Existing Urban Fabric. The purpose behind the "Crooked River Gaming" event is to help make Cleveland's new casino a vibrant element of the community. A well-planned casino could have a transformative impact on the city. The Coalition will host discussions and workshops on how this major project can best integrate itself within the existing city fabric. This discussion is not about whether or not casinos should exist. This discussion is about how we can make the casino successful not only for its owner and operator but also for the city of Cleveland. This is divided into a three part series:Part I: EDUCATE (March 5, 2010) The videos from the first event are available on our website http://www.clevelandcoalition.orgPart II: COLLABORATE Part III: ACTThe Part II of this series will be held on April 9th, 2010.
