Get outside day

Get Outside Day! is a day when natural leaders, community members, friends, and families across the nation and beyond, join together to encourage all youth to connect with nature. It is a day to get outside and raise awareness about the need for nature in the lives of all people. The initiative is led by Children and Nature Network (C&NN), which was created to encourage and support the people and organizations working nationally and internationally to reconnect children with nature. For more information on C&NN visit www.childrenandnature.org.

Families are invited to Get Outside! to their national park this Saturday and head to Hunt Farm Visitor Information Center, from noon - 1:30 p.m. Bring a picnic and join park staff for lunch on the lawn. Afterwards take a ranger-led, one-hour (roundtrip) hike to the Beaver Marsh.
