Global Perspectives on Climate Change

The Cleveland Council on World Affairs is pleased to invite you to a unique opportunity to welcome environmentalists from all over the world and to hear the global perspectives on Climate Change, Sustainability, and the Environment. Wine and Cheese will be provided. Please feel free to invite others to come as well.

The delegation consists of 20 environmental experts from across the globe that visit our city for only three days during their US stay. Our city was selected as one of their destinations due to our efforts to highlight the city's clean up initiatives. While in Cleveland, the group will meet with specialists, government officials, scientists, and NGO leaders working on sustainability efforts in water and land preservation. Our reputation of the burning river continues to haunt us and draws many skeptics to our city, yet programs such as these give us the opportunity to show off the deep environmental movement that spurred from our unfortunate historic event.

Countries represented in the group include: Barbados, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, Hungary, Indonesia, Iraq, Jamaica, Jordan, Malaysia, Montenegro, Nepal, Nigeria, Romania, Serbia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.Read more.

RSVP by Friday April 23, 2010 online or at mshulman@ccwa.org. With questions call 216-255-9004.
