The Euclid Beach Adopt-a-Beach Team June Beach Cleanup

Join the Euclid Beach Adopt-a-Beach Team for another summer beach cleanup on Saturday June 19th from 10:00am-12:00pm!!*From October 2009 through May 2010 our team has collected over 300 pounds of trash!! Imagine what we can do this spring and summer with your help!!WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO? We will start by meeting in the pavilion at 10am and then head down to the beach collecting the trash we find (this is an eye opening experience!). We will then conduct beach observation and interactive water quality tests. Finally, we will wrap things up at 1200pm with some refreshments, pictures, a trash weighing contest and a look at our upcoming events for spring/summer 2010.WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?Just yourself, a "clean" attitude, a light jacket (depending on the weather) and a pair of closed toed shoes. Gloves, tools, hand sanitizer and trash bags will be provided. WHERE IS IT AT? ****From the west: Take I-71 North to I-90 East. Take I-90 East to the East 185th Street Exit. Turn right on East 185th. Take East 185th to Lakeshore Blvd. Turn left on Lakeshore Blvd. Continue on Lakeshore until you arrive at Euclid Beach State Park, on your right hand side and after you pass the Euclid Beach Trailer Park entrance.From the east: Take Green Road north to Euclid Avenue. Turn right on Euclid Avenue. Take Euclid Avenue to Dille Rd. Turn left on Dille Rd. Continue on to Nottingham Rd. Continue on to East 185th St. Take East 185th to Lakeshore Blvd. Turn left on Lakeshore Blvd. Continue on Lakeshore Blvd. until you arrive at the Euclid Beach State Park entrance, on your right hand side and after you pass the Euclid Beach Trailer Park entrance.****For more information: Please contact Stephen Love at slove@mail.bw.edu or call 216-571-0685 Join us all summer long for beach cleanups on the following dates:        Saturday July 17th from 11:00am-6:00pm, (A Beach Cleanup and Sand Castle Contest followed by a fun cookout!!)
