Nature Center at Shaker Lakes marsh restoration project public meeting

In August 2010, The Nature Center announced its receipt of a two-year, $78,665 grant from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency through the Cuyahoga County Surface Water Improvement Fund. With the first stage of eradicating the cattails in the marsh complete, the Nature Center is ready to move on to stage two which includes spreading native plant seeds.

The public is encouraged to attend the second of a series of public meetings to learn more about the progression of the marsh restoration project, ways to volunteer, and to get answers to all project questions.
