Passive House / SmartHome Workshop

Northeast Ohio Chapter of the USGBC is thrilled to partner with Cleveland Museum of Natural History / GreenCityBlueLake Institute on this technical workshop for building professionals on the principles of passive house design, the next big trend in extreme energy efficient home construction.The workshop will feature a construction site tour of Greater Cleveland's first passive house, the SmartHome at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History which is part of the upcoming exhibit on climate change. Instructors for the session will include members of the SmartHome design and construction team: Chuck Miller of Doty & Miller Architects, passive house consultant Mark Hoberecht of HarvestBuild, contractor Chris Kontur of CPK Companies and Jeff Walters of Panzica Construction.Cost: Local NEO Chapter members $20 / non-members $30Space is limited to 20 building professionals (people with knowledge, work experience in design and construction).
