Green Dots Meeting May 24, 2011, 9 a.m. Tri-C Metro Campus, Unified Technology Center - Room 113 Agenda 1. Connecting the Dots: Focus on Buckeye-Woodland-Larchmere a. Introduction of potential outreach partner programs i. Buckeye Area Development Corporation ii. HEAL iii. Network for Neighborhood Success iv. Rice Branch Library b. City of Cleveland Rain Barrel Program c. Energy Saver Home Retrofit Pilot Program d. St. Luke?s Development LEED Tour: May 26, 4 - 6 p.m., Rice Branch Library e. Tri-C classes f. Employment Connection classes g. Internship opportunities on LEED projects for graduates of Employment Connection?s LEED training classes h. Referral process and tracking i. What can each of us pledge to the effort? What initial commitments are we willing to make? j. What other partners do we need to recruit? 2. SC 2019 Cross-Cutting a. SC 2019 Design Team for 2011 Summit b. Emerald Cities Collaborative i. Do we want to send a Green Dots representative to the monthly meetings? (3rd Monday of each month; next meeting is June 20 at 10 a.m. at a downtown location to be determined) 3. Updates on assignments from last meeting a. Jennifer will meet with Kelly Kupcak of COAD (Corporation for Ohio Appalachian Development) and invite her to participate in Green Dots. b. Tereena and De?Angelo will attend the April 28 meeting at NPI. c. De?Angelo will represent Green Dots at the May 10 Sustainable Cleveland 2019 Design Team Meeting. d. Tereena will follow up with graphic designer about Green Dots logo and marketing materials e. Tereena will follow up to find out whether the Arcelor-Mittal grant is for residents of Slavic Village, residents of Cleveland, or only for the retraining of displaced workers. f. Barbara will draft a version of a Green Dots contact card to use at outreach events. g. Barbara will tell CPP?s Human Resources Department that she would like Youth Opportunities Unlimited (YOU) summer interns to help with designing outreach materials targeted toward young people. h. De?Angelo will contact Jennifer to talk about next steps in De?Angelo?s training process. i. Kevin will follow up on Jenita?s referral to Anand Natarajan to find out how homeowners can volunteer their properties for the Energy Saver retrofit pilot program. j. Kevin will follow up with Deepa Vedavyas to get information about Buckeye Area Development Corporation?s LEED/Green initiatives. k. Kevin will draft the meeting notes and share them with other Green Dots members. l. All group members will research the Emerald Cities Collaborative in preparation for discussion at the May meeting. 4. Next steps and assignments 5.
