10 big questions facing the local food movement in NEO

Over the past few years I have met the most inspiring people doing the most inspiring work I know of in our region?growing food for themselves and each other and by doing so creating a new culture. Yet in the course of my work it has become clear that despite our nascent success, there remain great challenges?economic, cultural and social?that we must face in order to create a sustainable local food future.

At the beginning of the last few Local Food Cleveland events I have briefly mentioned some of these key issues. At our next meeting I would like to delve into them more deeply and share with you what I see as the crucial questions we must answer to truly make an impact on the health and economy of Northeast Ohio.
