Educational Forum on Marcellus/Utica Shale Oil and Gas Development



Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) and The Ohio State University at Newark will host an educational forum on Marcellus/Utica shale oil and gas development. The forum will be held on Thursday, September 15, 7 ? 9 p.m., in the COTC/Ohio State Newark campus?s John Gilbert Reese Center?s Alford Performing Arts Hall. The event is free and open to all.

 

Attendees will be able to gather essential information on pre-drilling, drilling, and post-drilling topics critical to oil and gas development, including: oil drilling, land owner rights, legal implications of leasing, and potential workforce impact of this growing industry. Experts from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Ohio Oil & Gas Energy Education Program, the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, The Ohio State University, and the Ohio Farm Bureau will lead the discussion and answer questions from the audience.
