Exploring our regional form factor: Sustainable design, manufacturing and innovation

Form factor is generally defined as the geometry of a product in design and engineering terms. Like a physical item such as a computer or a smartphone, a regional economy can be portrayed as having shape, size and depth as well. Join E4S at our September Third Tuesday network event in Cleveland as we learn from the region's innovators in sustainable design and manufacturing. What opportunities are embedded in our market that drive innovation in sustainable design and manufacturing? Does Cleveland hold the resources to become a global center for innovation in sustainable design and manufacturing? Who is getting it right and yielding triple bottom line results in the design and manufacturing space? We will explore these and other fundamental questions at our next Third Tuesday program hosted by Great Lakes Brewing Company.

Presentations by:

  • Designer's Accord represented by Anthony Buehrer, SmartShape Design
  • SDM2 Design Team (Sustainable Design & Manufacturing Materials), a SC2019 working group represented by Ken Schneider, Nordson Corporation and Jud Kline, Herschman Architects
  • Wire-Net represented by John Colm
