Large scale utility energy storage: Landscapes of benefits/approaches and flow battery technology

Robert F. Savinell, George S. Dively Professor of Engineering at Case Western Reserve University, will describe the landscape for utility-scale energy storage in terms of potential markets and economic benefits.

Savinell has been engaged in electrochemical engineering research and development for over thirty-five years with a focus on understanding of fundamentals and mechanisms of electrochemical systems and devices, and their design, development, and optimization.
