Northeast Ohio bike count volunteer training orientation

 

Bike Count Volunteers Needed

NOACA needs volunteers to help conduct its annual bicycle counts the week of September 12th.This program helps us:

?Measure the use of existing bikeways

?Estimate the public demand for more bike facilities

?Set priorities for proposed bike projects and suggest future project locations

?Create policies for spending public dollars effectively for all travel modes

 

 

 

Success is not possible without your help! We?ll be counting bikes at locations throughout Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina Counties. We need volunteers for the following days and times:

Tuesday, September 6th or Wednesday, September 7that 5:30 p.m.

Orientation session at the NOACA offices: 1299 Superior Avenue Cleveland, OH 44114

and

Tuesday September 13th from 5:00 p.m. ?7:00 p.m.

Wednesday September 14th from 5:00 p.m. ?7:00 p.m.

Thursday September 15th from 5:00 p.m. ?7:00 p.m.

Saturday September 17th from 11:00 a.m. ?1:00 p.m.

Bike counts at various locations

An orientation session is mandatory. Preference will be given to those available for one orientation and all four count days. People available for one orientation and two days of bike counting will also be accepted. Volunteers will be reimbursed for travel costs getting to and from their count location.
