The October 2011 Euclid Beach Cleanup 2 Years And Counting!

Join volunteers for a very special beach cleanup at Euclid Beach State Park this Saturday October 15th from 10am-12pm! It is special because it is the 2nd anniversary of the Euclid Beach Adopt-a-Beach Team! After thousands of volunteer hours, well over 1,500 pounds of trash removed from the beach and the installation of signage and recycling bins in the park, we are making a real positive gains in the park and changing how the community and the region perceives Lake Erie and its lakefront parks for the better! But rest assured, there is still plenty more to do and plenty more to cleanup, especially after so much storm water runoff in September!Come out for our second to last cleanup of the season and be a part of the positive change that is converging on the lakefront! We will meet in the main pavilion at 10am and head down to the beach from there to tally and pick up trash and conduct water quality tests.Gloves, trash pickers, rakes and bags will be providedVolunteers are encouraged to prepare ahead of time and dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear (tennis shoes).Coffee will be provided and refreshments will be served at 12pm.Take care and hope to see you at the beach! If you have any questions, please contact Stephen Love at stephen.love20@gmail.com.
