A Portrait of Your Watershed: The Doan Brook Watershed Partnership Annual Meeting & Celebration

Watershed residents in Cleveland Heights, Shaker Heights and Eastern Cleveland are invited to the Doan Brook Watershed Partnership?s annual meeting and celebration, "A Portrait of Your Watershed," to be hosted at the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes on Wednesday, November 16 at 7:00pm. Residents will have the opportunity to mix and mingle over desserts and wine, hear the latest on Partnership projects in their communities, as well as honor the Partnership?s ?Annual Watershed Hero.?A special presentation by noted archeologist Dr. Roy Larick will transport attendees back in time to learn how Doan Brook was formed, how the stream evolved and changed from tropical sea to glacial ice age, to the woodland neighborhood that currently surrounds us. Dr. Larick offers a rare, engaging look at the natural history of the Heights landscape and how it continues to shape our lives and community to this day.Admission is complimentary; residents are encouraged to RSVP in advance to Victoria Mills at 216-321-5935 x234. Limited parking will be available in the Nature Center parking lot at2600 South Park with overflow parking available on the street.
