A long-distance cyclist, Dan Austin has explored old and new paths around the globe. Austin is the author of three books and director of seven documentaries, including a ?People?s Choice? Banff Mountain Film Festival award-winner, True Fans. He is the Co-founder and Executive Director of the 88bikes Foundation, which endows ashrams, orphanages, villages and schools throughout the developing world with bikes for kids. Outside Magazine named Austin and 88bikes ?One of 10 Icons Changing the World.?

When in town, Austin will be speaking about his long bike journeys across America and other countries, and how biking and walking ? whether across town or across the continent ? enhance every aspect of life.
