Zoo's prairie planting event

Volunteers are needed to manually plant native Ohio prairie plants at the one-acre site at Cleveland Metroparks Brookside Reservation. This restored Ohio prairie habitat is also a Certified Monarch Way Station that provides important habitat for butterflies and other native wildlife.

Join the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Crew teen volunteers. We will plant more native plants for Ohio?s important pollinators and install a wood-chip trail at the site. Bring gloves, a hand trowel or shovel & a water bottle. A limited supply of work gloves and garden tools will be available for volunteers.

Dress for the weather (Rain Date: Sat. April 21 10am).
