NEO Green Building: Why Green Plumbing Works Well

Twenty percent of the Earth?s freshwater is comprised of the Great Lakes. But despite having a Great Lake in our backyard, we still need to focus on conserving, conveying and reclaiming water. As more and more facilities work towards sustainable foundations, the contractors and workforce of the Cleveland Plumbing Industry support and are trained to install a wide range of ?green? plumbing systems and LEED-certified installations.Join the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the USGBC in collaboration with Plumbers Union Local 55 and Neptune Plumbing for this evening session to discuss the critical role of plumbing and multiple types of sustainable water applications. Local 55 will review their regional plumbing installations that are ?green?, provide tours of their facility and showcase their green plumbing trailer being brought from Marietta just for this event. Neptune Plumbing will be highlighting their work at Southerly Wastewater Treatment Center, a $170 million facility being built in Cuyahoga Hieghts which elimates odor, generates electricity and devours fewer resources.Local NEO Chapter members FREE / non-members $10Light dinner will be served.
