Sunflowers, the bright bursting sign that summer is at its end and fall is upon us. All season the sunflower soaks in the rays of sunshine and the laughter in the garden. It grows strong and tall to support its many blooms. Just as the heat peaks, the sunflower explodes into blossom, giving us the sign that the harvest is upon us. The sunflower marks the time of balance where reflection of the abundant season and planning for the leaner seasons meet. We invite you to join the Root cafe in partnership with our farmers, including Cleveland Crops, Bay Branch Farm, old Husher farm, Central Roots Farm, and Rittman Fruit Farm in celebrating our harvest of raw and whole foods by creating in our community a space for recognizing this important time of year. It is our mission to provide our community with locally grown, raw inspired whole foods. Be the first to taste some of our newest explorations in nourishment at our private harvest dinner and dance celebration on September 29th. It starts with a 5 course dinner from 7pm -10pm, followed by a dance celebration from 10pm-1am.As we will engage all of your senses starting with aroma and taste, we?ll move on to nourish your sense of sight and touch with the soulful activity of creating ?Fonts from Food? with Kristen Baumlier.
