NEO Electronics Recycling Campaign

Thousands of people around the world will take action on Saturday, September 29th in theircommunities in support of healthy, sustainable schools. There are multiple projects happening in Northeast Ohio which you can see mapped at www.mygreenapple.org.Northeast Ohio Chapter of the USGBC's Schools Committee is collaborating with the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District on a project for the Green Apple Day of Service. It's an electronics recycling campaign being held at 3 area high schools: Midpark High School, Garfield Heights High School and St. Ignatius High School. This is a great and easy way for everyone to get involved. You can drop off unwanted electronics from your home or work place for free. The students and volunteers at each school will help unload items from cars and prepare the electronics for collection. Students will earn volunteer hours for their assistance on the Green Apple Day of Service. Monies raised from the recycled material will be donated to the MidPark National Honor Society, Garfield Heights Music Booster and local charities.Electronics able to be donated include: industrial, medical, household equipment, security devices, communication devices, personal electronics and computer / office equipment.
