Join Bike Cleveland and Pedal for Prizes for Cleveland's first annual Cranksgiving—a bike ride to help provide meals to disadvantaged families in Cleveland that may not have one during the Thanksgiving season.
You'll meet at Phoenix Coffee, 1700 East 9th Street and receive a manifest with a list of participating grocery stores scattered throughout Cleveland and a food item to purchase at each store. Ride your bike on your own or with friends to one grocery store in four different quadrants, purchasing the items specified on your manifest. It's up to you to determine to which stores you ride and in what order, as well as the routes you take. Your ride will likely be around 15 miles.
All food items collected during the event will be donated to hunger centers at University Settlement in Slavic Village and St. Augustine Church in Tremont to feed needy families during the holiday season.
