Economics of Abundance workshop at River's Edge

Peter Block and Olivia Saunders will lead an interactive workshop about the intersection of economics and community. Adherence to the dominant economic thinking, which is based on scarcity, controls every aspect of our lives. Consequently society -- rich, poor and the middle class -- is profoundly out of balance. This deficit orientation distorts our perspectives of justice, philanthropy and our values generally. Peter and Olivia will talk about an alternative economics that is supportive of neighborhoods, which fosters community and sustains families. It gives a new way of thinking about what economy is and what a successful economy does.
