Sulphur Springs Restoration

Install and cage trees in a newly restored riparian buffer zone with the Watershed Volunteer Program and Christina Znidarsic from Chagrin River Watershed Partners.

Directions to the site:

Take SOM Center Road to Hawthorn Parkway. You will see a large sign at the intersection that says "South Chagrin Reservation." Turn east onto the parkway and drive about one half mile. Look for a gravel road on your left with a barrier gate. The gravel road leads to the Lift Station. To park, pull off the parkway to the right side of the road, across from the Lift Station. We'll be assembling at the base of the Lift Station to sign in and take care of release forms before moving up to the site.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own equipment (planting shovel, or long-handle spade, hand-trowel, knee-high boots or very sturdy shoes, gloves, weather-appropriate outerwear, cap/hat, protective eyewear, etc.). We'll have extra shovels just in case. There will be bottled water, juice, apples and donuts for all of the volunteer team.Install and cage trees in a newly restored riparian buffer zone with the Watershed Volunteer Program and Christina Znidarsic from Chagrin River Watershed Partners.
