The City of Cleveland Heights Landmark Commission and Cleveland Heights Historical Society present a walking tour of geological history. Reservations (imperative): 216.291.4878.In the 1800s, Turkey Ridge named the rising heights between Doan and Dugway Brooks. Today we call the area Cedar-Fairmount. Bluestone and sandstone terraces give shape to the ridge. Blue Rock Brook descends the terraces toward Cedar Glen and Doan Brook.
Discover Turkey Ridge's deep history with archaeologist Roy Larick, historian Bill Barrow, and cartographer Stephen Titchenal. Trace buried ravines, rock out-crops and stone quarries. Learn to spot local stone features in many Heights legacy houses.
