Driving Corporate Sustainability talk
Corporate Roundtable on "Driving Corporate Sustainability in the Near- and Far-Term," with keynote speaker, Andrew Hoffman, Professor of Sustainable Enterprise at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
Corporate sustainability is an idea whose time has come. Properly understood, sustainability is not just another corporate function. Rather, sustainability is a key engine of corporate success, if it is designed and integrated into the foundations of the organization's way of doing business. On the other hand, the way sustainability is being practiced today by many companies is insufficient for good performance because it does not get to the root of the sustainability issue. In the near term, we can think of sustainability as a market shift, one the drives corporate success. In the long term, it is something much more.
