Friends of the Crooked River, RiverDay 2014 sponsors, event coordinators and partners announce the line-up of events for the 24th Annual RiverDay to be held on Saturday, May 17th, 2014. RiverDay aims to raise awareness among everyday citizens concerning the important role that an accessible Cuyahoga River plays in their everyday lives and to highlight the need to continue the improvement of its water quality. This RiverDay features the advances made toward a paddleable Cuyahoga River. RiverDay 2014 will feature 30 events at 18 locations across Cuyahoga, Summit, and Portage Counties--cleanups, habitat restorations, paddle excursions, hikes, music and festivals. [Event descriptions are attached in a .pdf of the RiverDay brochure. These events highlight the numerous recreational, cultural and historic natural resources of our American Heritage River. Almost all events are free.
