Protecting our Watersheds Through Model Regulations
Join Heather Elmer, executive director of Chagrin River Watershed Partners, to learn more about regulations communities can adopt to maintain stream and wetland functions. Chagrin River Watershed Partners in conjunction with local and state agencies has developed a number of model ordinances/regulations and resolutions for Northeast Ohio communities.
Regulations include riparian and wetland setbacks, storm water management among others, and ensure site features and water quality issues are considered early in the development process, and supports stormwater management practices that minimize water quality impacts.
