Harvard architect Sergio Lopez Pineiro on keeping public spaces

Architect Sergio Lopez-Pineiro will keynote the Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative's COLDSCAPES//Adapt Competition (in conjunction with Brite Winter Fest). His talk, "Three Models of Public Space: Adventure Playgrounds, Whiteswards, and Speakers' Corners," will focus on the imagination and protection of truly open (inderterminante) public space. His research offers insights on how cities can embrace uncertainty, with particular applications for variable winter weather conditions.
