Local Food Mondays
Local Food Mondays are gatherings to improve the local food economy by creating a public forum to connect local farmers, distributors, producers, and government agencies. These events also serve as a source of information on NEO's local food economy. Local Food Mondays will be held the first Monday of each month (except July & December).
On Monday February 1st, 2016 Local Food Mondays will kick off the 2016 schedule at Shaker LaunchHouse featuring High Tunnel Growing Tip presentations by three experienced local growers: George Remington from Morningside Farm in Hinckley, Ohio; Margaret Fitzpatrick, The Refugee Response at Ohio City Farm in Cleveland, Ohio and Christopher Bond, Horticulturist, Farm Food Program Coordinator at Case Western Reserve University Farm in Hunting Valley, Ohio. A panel discussion with Q & A will follow the presentations. Local Food Monday events are free and open to the public. Beverages and light snacks will be available.
