Paving paradise: A history of the Clark Freeway fight

The 1960's fight against the proposed matrix of east side freeways ignited citizen action, drew attention to the Shaker Parklands, and resulted in the founding of the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes. Fifty years later, look back at the freeway fight and see a thriving nature center and an improving Doan Brook watershed.

Former Nature Center director and longtime supporter, John Barber, presents the history of the freeway fight. The presentation is free but registration is requested link below:
