Sara Zewde: design at the margins of the urban renaissance
The Kent State/Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative fall lecture series kicks off with Sara Zewde, a U.S.-born urban planner whose work in Rio de Janeiro office of the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy caught the mayor's attention.
Zewde's master's thesis focused on "black urbanism" in the context of New Orleans. She attended the landscape architecture program at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design (GSD).
