Storm Drain Stenciling for Doan Brook
Join Doan Brook Watershed Partnership in "painting the town" for our final Storm Drain Stenciling Saturday of 2017. We will meet on Saturday, September 9 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm in the Buckeye neighborhood of Cleveland. Participants will mark curbs next to residential storm drains by stenciling the message "Lake Erie Starts Here" on pavement. Information about the signage will also be distributed to neighborhood residents. Our goal is to spread the word about the impact that storm drain runoff has on the health of the Doan Brook and Lake Erie. Individuals, families, and organizations such as scouts, school or church groups, neighborhood associations and service clubs are more than welcome to sign up. Participants will meet at the parking lot behind Dave's Supermarket in Shaker Square (off Drexmore Road) for a short stenciling demonstration and to pick up all needed supplies and street assignments. Refreshments also provided. In the event of all-day inclement weather, stenciling is cancelled. Large volunteer groups may inquire about alternate dates. For further information or to register, contact Andrew Klooster at 216-325-7781 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
