According to the study Global Warming’s Six Americans 2009: An Audience Segmentation Analysis by the Yale Project on Climate Change and the George Mason University Center for Climate Change Communication only 51% of Americans are alarmed or concerned about climate change. Another 42% are cautious, disengaged or doubtful of climate change.
Educating and engaging your entire community and local government is a key component of a successful climate change reduction campaign and therefore outreach and advocacy should be an integral and ongoing part of your climate action process.
