Brad Chase Says:A new analysis shows that California could achieve 6 times the originally predicted GHG reductions from implementing smart growth policies and practices.
AB 32 which requires California to meet 1990 GHG emissions levels by 2020 set a target of 2 million metric tons of CO2 equivalent reductions from smart growth strategies. The new analysis shows that smart growth strategies are likely to achieve reductions between 14.4 and 17.9 million metric tons of CO2 equivalents.
