SHIVERICK PRESERVE PLANT SURVEY, Hunting Valley, Cuyahoga County  Join us for our annual plant survey for the Western Reserve Land Conversancy as we explore this 133 acre mature forest in Hunting Valley the Conservancy is working to preserve, known for its wildflower laden ravines.

Directions: Take Rt. 271 to Rt. 322. Head east to Chagrin River Road. Head south to Fairmount Blvd. Property is at the southwest corner, with parking on the west side of the Chagrin River Road.  Map.

Volunteers Needed for Big Creek Stream Clean-Up

 

Cleveland, OH – On June 9, 2007, the City of Cleveland, Friends of Big Creek and the Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District will be hosting the 9th Annual stream clean up of the Big Creek-Chevy Branch from 9:00am–Noon. Volunteers are needed to help pick up stream side trash and should meet at one of the following locations at 8:45am.

Join artist Melanie Moldovan to create your own impression of Old Woman Creek estuary monthly on second Saturdays through September.  Attend one or all.  Free; display your work in a fall art show at Old Woman Creek.  Ages 12+, participants under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian.  Please bring your own art supplies.  Call (419) 433-4601 to register.  Visit www.oldwomancreek.org for more information.
